# Adjusting balance, speed and pitch

All files are supplied either via an[ integrated player](/help/using-the-rehearsal-files/playing-integrated-player.md) or via [Dropbox](/help/using-the-rehearsal-files/playing-direct-from-dropbox.md). 

Both methods allow for playback speed and volume changes. Sound channel balance (left/right) adjustments can be made locally. Pitch cannot be altered natively in either player, but there are third party apps that can.

### Sound balance

The voice dominant learning tracks have the chosen voice part (e.g. Tenor) prominent and louder in the right channel, with all other parts in the left channel at a lower volume.

Depending on your speaker setup and listening preferences you may want to alter the left/right balance to improve your listening experience. Settings changes differ dependant on your device.

### Speed and volume

Speed and volume can be adjusted in both the [integrated player](/help/using-the-rehearsal-files/playing-integrated-player.md) and the [Dropbox](/help/using-the-rehearsal-files/playing-direct-from-dropbox.md) player.

If you require further speed reductions you will need to download the music file and open it in a dedicated audio manipulation tool (e.g. [Audacity](https://www.audacityteam.org/)). Here you will be able to [slow the playback speed](https://support.audacityteam.org/audio-editing/speeding-up-and-slowing-down-audio#changing-playback-speed) without loss of audio quality.

### Pitch

Pitch cannot be adjusted natively in either player but there are apps that provide pitch alteration, we have tested a sample here for you to try, but do not provide specific recommendations.
